LigaSure™ Small Jaw Open Sealer/Divider
VESSEL SEALING
A multifunctional tissue sealing system, featuring an integrated cutting mechanism for use in open procedures.
OVERVIEW
Designed for confined surgical spaces where access and visibility are a necessity
The LigaSure™ small jaw sealer/divider (LF1212A), working exclusively with the ForceTriad™ energy platform, combines TissueFect™ sensing technology with hand or foot activation and an integrated cutting mechanism to create a multifunctional tissue sealing system that provides consistent, controlled tissue effect.
This instrument is designed for use in open procedures.
Procedural applications include:
-
Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT)
-
General
-
Plastic/Reconstructive
-
Urologic
-
Thoracic
The LigaSure™ small jaw sealer and divider is an 18.8 cm (7.4 inch) vessel sealer and divider, designed to be used in confined surgical spaces where access and visibility are a necessity. The instrument has a low temperature profile and seals effectively at a cooler temperature compared to Harmonic FOCUS™
FEATURES
The LigaSure™ small jaw sealer/divider:
-
Provides an integrated cutting mechanism independent of sealing, leaving the critical cutting decisions in the hands of the surgeon
-
May reduce the exchange of instruments compared to mechanical ligation
-
Has a low temperature profile and seals effectively at a cooler temperature compared to Harmonic FOCUS™*
LigaSure™ technology confines effect to target tissue with thermal spread ≤ 2mm on average, so you can feel more confident sealing near critical structures and dissecting around vessels.
Ligasure™ technology has been shown to significantly reduce hospital stay and post-operative drainage days compared to conventional techniques when used for axillary breast dissection. Additionally, LigaSure™ instruments may be associated with:
-
Reduced procedure time, blood loss and pain compared to conventional techniques
-
Reduced operative time, perioperative blood loss, drainage volume and duration, and incidence of seroma or lymphedema.
